The location where the convention has been held since 2015. The town of Aichtal consists of the neighborhoods of Neuenhaus, Aich, and Grötzingen. The gym where we will be juggling is located in the latter. For more information about Aichtal, visit: www.aichtal.de
Your badge is very important; without it, you will not be able to enter the buildings! Please do not lose it, as it cannot be replaced.
Badge controls ensure that only convention participants enter the premises. And since the entire convention relies on volunteer work, we need your help! Sign up for a shift right at the beginning so that no one has too much to do and everyone can enjoy the event.
The classic juggling prop. Most people start juggling with balls. But why not bring along all the juggling equipment you want to and can throw, swing, or manipulate in any other way!
Juggling is good for the brain—this has been proven time and again! It promotes spatial thinking, coordination, and balance. It also trains the back and neck muscles, making juggling the ideal way to unwind after a day at school or the office.
Breakfast is served every morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the foyer of the multipurpose hall (cafeteria). Convention participants do not have to pay for breakfast: it is included in the price.
If you are traveling by public transport, take the train to Nürtingen or the S-Bahn to Filderstadt. From there, take the bus to Aichtal Grötzingen Ortsmitte (town center). Information here: www.vvs.de.
Here you can get breakfast in the morning and buy sandwiches and other snacks at juggler-friendly prices during the day. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available, and also very reasonably priced. Coffee and tea are available - as is tradition - around the clock, free of charge.
Juggling is the traditional pastime at juggling conventions. However, other circus arts are also welcome, such as acrobatics, trapeze, and all the flowarts. The most important thing is to have fun!
A very important prop at a juggling convention.
Very important, not just in the morning—we offer coffee and tea free of charge around the clock! This means you can train around the clock, too!
Everyone loves cookies, so bring some and share them with other lovely people.
This year we will have the parents of a local kindergarden cook for us again. So you can buy a hot meal on two nights for a good price.
At juggling conventions, you can wear whatever you like, whatever is fun and comfortable. Training clothes are ideal, of course, but you are welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. But watch out for the unpredictable April weather: around Easter, we've had everything from snow to bikini weather.
Drop GmbH is not an actual company, but was our satirical motto for 2023.
This fictional company references the German GmbH, which stands for Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung and is similar to a Limited Corporation. In our case, we had it stand for Gemeinschaft mit bewegten Händen, which losely translates into Community with moving hands.
That's the date of the convention. From Good Friday to Easter Monday, we'll be swinging clubs, throwing balls, tossing rings, and much more in Aichtal. Please note: In Baden-Württemberg, dancing is still prohibited on Good Friday. We kindly ask you not to dance on this day.
The convention ends on Easter Monday, and we are grateful for any help with teardown and cleanup.
On one evening of the convention, there will be an area where you can play with fire to your heart's content—including a tutorial for beginners.
What started as a bit of a joke has now become a tradition for us: forgotten towels from previous years are washed by the organizers right after the convention and handed out the following year to those who forgot their towel at home.
Another highlight of the convention: Every Easter Sunday, there are two gala shows featuring amazing artists. The first show takes place at 4 p.m., the second at 8 p.m., both in the Festhalle Aich, about a 1.5 km walk from the convention grounds.
Another important part of every convention. We've come up with lots of great ideas to spark your ambition in creative little competitions. Whether you win or lose, the main goal is to have fun!
An important place at every juggling convention. This is where you meet new people, relax together, and watch others practice.
The central point of a juggling convention. The juggling hall is open around the clock, where you can train to your heart's content, give and participate in workshops, sit on the soft floor mat, or just watch what great tricks others are throwing!
When juggling, everyone can choose what they want to learn and practice. From choosing the props to selecting the tricks, there are millions of possibilities. Do what you like!
The first stop for everyone arriving at the convention. Here you can pick up your badge, check in/register and buy a T-shirt. You'll also find lots of information about the program, workshops, and places to eat in the area.
Quite rare at juggling conventions. If you do happen to trip over your own feet, suffer an inflamed mosquito bite, or cut yourself on a butter knife, the organizers will of course take care of you! The Nürtingen hospital is also not far away, so don't worry.
Inspiration, motivation, workshops, new props, ... A juggling convention is the ideal place to learn new things.
For its tenth anniversary, the Nürtingen Convention moved to Aichtal in 2015. This meant that the anniversary convention was also a premiere convention. The Aichtal Convention has now become well established there.
This is where the delicious breakfast, dinner, and wraps from the cafeteria are made. Good to know: if you would like to help out in the kitchen, you will be instructed in all hygiene procedures.
Laughter is also important, so bring along a good dose of good humor.
When cleaning up, we always find lots of things that have been forgotten: clothing, towels, juggling equipment, and lots of other stuff. But don't worry: we don't throw anything away. Instead, we photograph everything and post it on our Instagram page. If you find something you thought you'd lost in the pictures, just send us a
We also have a box with lost and found items from the previous year at the convention, which you can also take a look at.
One exception: forgotten towels are washed immediately after the convention and distributed the following year to those who forgot their towels.
Alongside drama and epic, the third genre in literature. Almost as beautiful as juggling, but only almost. Lyric was the theme of the 2014 convention “LyriCon.”
No, there's none of that here.
(There's an old "feud" between jugglers and magicians, not really a big thing anymore. If you're interested, go ask a people at the convention)
“In the morning before noon, the clubs bite”—as they say in the juggling scene. That's why breakfast lasts until 1 p.m., so that club jugglers in particular are safe from this threat and can sleep in.
A town on the Neckar River, about 20 km south of Stuttgart, with a population of around 40,000. The juggling convention was held here from 2006 to 2014. The current convention now always takes place in Aichtal.
In 2021, the convention took place online due to the coronavirus pandemic. The venue was recreated on the WorkAdventure platform, where participants could walk around with a small avatar, talk to people, attend workshops, and go to the gala show. It created a wonderful atmosphere and was a great opportunity to see each other again, even if not in the same place.
These are the people who organize the convention for you. You can find more information about our current organizing team here.
We do not welcome outside alcohol, especially hard alcohol and similar beverages. We sell beer at the bar, but we do not want you to bring alcohol from home. Please leave your bottles at home, because you are here to juggle, and that is difficult to do with vodka in your head.
It's important the all minors bring a parental consent form to the convention, so we know that it's ok for them to be there. All minors below 16 need to be accompanied by a guardian. The forms are sent with the pre-registration.
Important: Please preregister on the website before the convention. Overnight tickets for the entire convention are limited. We will sell the remaining tickets with overnight accommodation (while supplies last) and day tickets on site.
We ask you to be quiet in the sleeping hall at all times of the day and night and not to assume that just because you are awake, everyone else must be, too. Whispering and rummaging in your bags is okay, but always remember that others may have gone to bed later than you (or earlier).
Drinking is important when you exercise. Make sure that bottles are not left lying around in the hall and on the grounds, but throw them in the collection boxes or take them with you. By the way, no drinks are allowed in our wonderful new hall. That's why we even have a special station at the entrance to the hall where you can leave your water bottles!
An essential part of a convention: after training (or before breakfast, or whenever), hit the showers and get clean.
Since 2016, in addition to the juggling games, there has also been Skill Night. Here you can demonstrate your technical skills. In the classic endurance disciplines (aka who can juggle 5 balls the longest, for example), as well as in innovative challenges, you can show the juggling world what you're capable of!
We will be sleeping in a large multipurpose hall. Don't forget your sleeping mat and sleeping bag, and please do not eat in the sleeping hall.
As the juggling hall is still quite new, street shoes are not allowed inside to keep it super nice and clean. This is very important and is strictly enforced. So bring indoor shoes if you want to train with shoes on, or go barefoot. Eating is also not allowed in the hall, but there are plenty of other rooms for this: lobby, cafeteria, grandstand, etc.
You can order a t-shirt for the 2026 convention. This is only available with preregistration and only until march 16th.
A card game that is very well known and popular among jugglers, and a great activity when you are tired from training but not tired enough to go to sleep.
A traditional event at every convention, large or small: the toss-up. Either at the end of the convention or after the juggling games, as many juggling objects as possible are thrown up by as many jugglers as possible. A photo is then taken, which makes for a great hidden object picture. Important: Protect your head! Because sometimes it's not just juggling objects that fly... ;-)
